Like everyone else, Anyone, Connect the dots, One by one, Constellations drowned out, In the burning light of day, The truth is found out, Every crooked word from your forked tongue, I somehow, Believed in you, As I do, So often, Prefer to think the best of those who have no conscience, Spark from flint, Through the air, In misdirection, Worried sick, Gut me slow, With dull incisions, In the failings of your current iterations, Fifty roses on my grave won't bring you solace, April days, Waste away, You selfish liar, Self-estranged, To play your games, And leave my dying, Here. Come on, I'm right here.

Fourteen 03:41
A perfect day, On the fourteenth, With your family, You and me, Oh, How quickly you got lost with me, In the hallways, Looking at the frogs, I'm a fool, For thinking you would ever stay, You're a fool, For thinking I'd just walk away, I'm a fool. You're a fool. I'm more in your veins, Than you care to mention, And I'm there to stay, Along with that day, Fourteen.

For Ethan 02:43
Keep it up, son, You're growing your hair long, You're big and you're strong, Singing your songs, Your mother and I are proud of you, bud, A friend to a friend, A man of our own, Carry this torch, Bury our bones, Take care of the family when we are gone, Help them up, When they fall, Hug your sister, When she's feeling small, Teach Jude math, Make him laugh, Love them harder than you ever have, A friend is a friend, A brother, in the end, Born of distress, My brother is the best, There's one thing left to say, I'm thankful for the ways, You make me smile each day, You are my favorite thing, Baby Boy.

Lion 03:11
Lion, I love you. No. What I mean to say is, I'll love you. When you come back, When you leave and come back to me, When you go through chemotherapy, When you have no mane, No eyebrows, Because when I have the choice, I love you. Because ever since that day, I never had a choice. Because no matter who you choose, I Love You.

about

The process of a split.

When going through the stages of processing that the person who has told you they love you everyday is leaving, it is hard. It is supposed to be hard. That is, if you do love that person. And I do. Frustration at the past phrases that bleed into your current present thoughts. “Everything is yours.” Longing and appreciation for those sparkling moments nostalgically lifting themselves above all other finite moments. The perfect days where everything so simple was so much more fulfilling because they were there. The friends that carried you through your “wild talk” with love and supportive tolerance. The sadness in the wake of realizations. And, knowing that you still love them, and always will. I don't know about you, but I'm proud to love with all I have.
