When going through the stages of processing that the person who has told you they love you everyday is leaving, it is hard. It is supposed to be hard. That is, if you do love that person. And I do. Frustration at the past phrases that bleed into your current present thoughts. “Everything is yours.” Longing and appreciation for those sparkling moments nostalgically lifting themselves above all other finite moments. The perfect days where everything so simple was so much more fulfilling because they were there. The friends that carried you through your “wild talk” with love and supportive tolerance. The sadness in the wake of realizations. And, knowing that you still love them, and always will. I don't know about you, but I'm proud to love with all I have.
lyrics
A perfect day,
On the fourteenth,
With your family,
You and me,
Oh,
How quickly you got lost with me,
In the hallways,
Looking at the frogs,
I'm a fool,
For thinking you would ever stay,
You're a fool,
For thinking I'd just walk away,
I'm a fool.
You're a fool.
I'm more in your veins,
Than you care to mention,
And I'm there to stay,
Along with that day,
Fourteen.
