Winter Sun

lyrics

Rolling with me in a pasture of yellow weeds,
Nose to nose on Peruvian tapestry,
I'm the happiest me we've ever seen,
Even though I cannot breath,

She smiles so sweetly,
Her eyes closed now,
And she's mouthing a scream,
But without a sound,
In a spiraling locking of lips, I'm pulling down,

Oh,
I'm dead,
This cannot be it,

And our legs fell asleep,
So we laid down,
Staring up at the floating lighthouse,
I'm a pillow for my best friend now,
Warming neck with broken arm,

Eyes to eyes,
And we're trembling slowly,
Biting lips, and she pulls me closely,
With the hand that she used to write a poem for me,

Oh,
I'm dead,
This cannot be happening,
She and her best friend,
I'm with her till the end,

Oh,
I love you,
You said I was a wonderful man,
And I know you meant it,
Warm “Winter sun through crisp air”,

Oh,
I love you,
Believe it,
I never held you in a placement,
But I definitely held you in my hands,

Oh,
I love you.
